What is a face mask ?

A facial mask is the quickest and easiest way to boost your skin. These deep cleansers stimulate, refine and draw the impurities from the pores, to leave you with a radiant complexion.

Biotique as we all know is one of the pioneers in skin and hair care range. It has a wide variety of packs for all kinds of skin and for different problems. Clove oil and wild turmeric face pack helps in controlling pimples and other skin blemishes. And the fruit pack makes the skin fairer and firmer.

Then the fruit pack is a skin whitening and fairness pack. The juices of pineapple, tomato, lemon and papaya fruit leave the skin clear, youthful and fresh.

Oriflame offers creamy clay purifying masque for oily skin. It is a deep cleansing treatment with herbs and mineral clays to absorb excess oiliness. There is cucumber aloe hydrating masque which contains a rich blend of cucumber, aloe and moisturisers and it is meant for normal to dry skin.

The third variety is the citrus peel-off clarifying masque. It is a lemon scented gel with birch and camomile extract and forms a transparent film on the skin, which is gently peeled away.

Another player, lotus herbals offers jasta bhasam face pack for pimple and acne. It suits all skin types and its key ingredients are lemon peel, orange peel, zinc oxide, suhaga and alum.

Then there is also almond face mask for wrinkles. It tightens skin pores and removes wrinkles. The fruit mask is available in 200gms and 100gms sizes.

Blossom Kochhar’s beauty packs are also very popular. The glossy pack is meant for pigmented skin. It lightens pigmentation, dark rings around eyes and acne scars. The beauty pack is the rejuvenating treatment as its natural exfoliating agents tighten and firm skin, leaving it fresh and youthful. Then there is glow face pack which is a firming masque. It revitalises skin, lightens and removes blemishes. Seaweed pack is the hydrating masque, enriched with extracts of rare seaweed.

Kamini Jha, a low profile cosmetologist and scalpologist in Safdarjung Enclave who is quietly engaged in improving the skin of many by her special home made therapy.
